The Detroit Lions had the NFC North in their control at one point during the season before stumbling down the stretch. Standing in their way of getting to the playoffs in 2014 is a tough road schedule.

They go to the Georgia Dome to take on the Atlanta Falcons, a team that was in the NFC Championship game two seasons ago. They also play the New England Patriots, who have been to the past two AFC Championship games. Add in the Arizona Cardinals who had double-digit wins and the NFC South champion Carolina Panthers and it is a rough road schedule. At home they host the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants, neither will be easy match ups.
