According to a report from Zagsblog.com, former embattled Louisville Cardinals forward Chane Behanan has apparently signed with an agent and is set to declare for the 2014 NBA Draft.
Former Louisville forward Chane Behanan has hired an agent and will declare this week for the NBA Draft, a source close to the situation told SNY.tv.
Back in December, Behanan was dismissed from the Cardinals for yet another violation of team rules, the final violation that helped Rick Pitino decide that enough was finally enough. In the limited time that he did see this past season, Behanan averaged 7.6 points with 6.3 rebounds.
Following his dismissal, Behanan went down to Houston to work with former coach John Lucas at his rehab clinic. Behanan’s troubles while at Louisville entailed some issues with substance abuse.
This is what makes his decision to enter the NBA world so soon a bit surprising. You have to wonder whether or not he’s ready for the life of an NBA player on the road, which we know for a fact comes with its many troubles.
