The NFL Draft is right around the corner and it seems that teams are not only looking seriously at what will be available to them when they go on the clock but also at what they may be able to get if they move around the draft order a little. We’ve been hearing for weeks now about the Houston Texans, St. Louis Rams and Atlanta Falcons possibly making moves to trade up or down but a new team has entered the ring as well.
According to CBSSports.com’s Pat Kirwan, the Tennessee Titans may be a candidate to move up in the draft should they covet a top cornerback.
If the Titans (No. 11) are interested in a corner like Oklahoma State’s Justin Gilbert, I think they better make a call to the Vikings and see if they are interested in moving down three spots.
This doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense as Gilbert is a top cornerback but not one that you’d think about trading into the top 10 to get. Still, with the way the top picks are being shuffled around in projections, it’s becoming impossible to predict what will happen and having to trade up for someone like Gilbert may end up becoming a reality for the Titans.
