The San Francisco 49ers will reportedly play their first home game of the 2014-15 regular season against the Chicago Bears, which will be the first meaningful game to ever take place at Levi Stadium. The game will take place in Week 2.

Harry Teinowitz of 87.7 FM “The Game” passed along the report.

It would be an exciting match up between two of the better teams in the NFC, but we will not know for sure if the game will go down until the schedule is officially released in a couple of hours.

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area also reported that the 49ers first game of the season will be at AT&T Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys in Week One.

The full 2014-15 regular season schedule will be released at 8 p.m. ET tonight and FanSided.com will have full team-by-team coverage.
