UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts, and she will be out promoting the top company in the sport later this week in anticipation of UFC 172.
The UFC is traveling to Baltimore for the first time in the promotion’s history with an event headlined by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira, and the UFC will be bringing out all of the stars to promote the event which is where Rousey comes in to play.
On Friday night at Camden Yards, Rousey will be stepping on the baseball diamond to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Baltimore Orioles game against the Kansas City Royals.
Mark La Monica of Newsday Sports passed along the news.
Earlier this month, UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks threw out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game, so this will not be uncharted territory for a UFC champ.
We will just have to see whether Rousey can throw a better heater than Hendricks.
