Sunday Night Football 2014 schedule released

Sunday Night Football on NBC is usually the biggest game during that week, and is often one of the most watched and highest rated television programs. It is the only Sunday game to be played in primetime as well.

Part of what allows Sunday Night Football to succeed is the league’s flexible-scheduling system. During the final seven games of the season, games with more intriguing and significant match ups can be moved into the primetime slot. It doesn’t necessarily always feature two teams fighting for a playoff spot, but in those instances a team is usually competing seeding in the playoffs.
