Adult fan steals ball from kid during Red Sox, Yankees game (Video)

What is it about a baseball that makes people go crazy?

Sure, for a kid, getting a baseball used in a Major League Baseball game is a wonderful memory, but for an adult – it’s just a baseball. That’s not to diminish them of course as they can create memories for an adult just as easily as they can for a child, but some fans tend to go a bit overboard when it comes to getting themselves a baseball.

Case in point, this fan who decided it would be a good idea to steal a ball from a young fan.

As Red Sox infielder Xander Bogaerts was on deck, a ball trickled over to him. Noticing the youthful fan sitting near him, Bogaerts flipped the ball to the young Yankees fan. But soon as he did, a grown man leaped out in front, snatching the ball in mid-air.

The man seemingly said something to the kid before turning away while what we can only assume to be the father of the young fan couldn’t do anything but shake his head.
