While the summer f 2015 packs a lot of cinematic punch, there are some films later in the year that are generating a lot of buzz and one of those films is the long awaited adaptation of the award winning video game series World of Warcraft.
While the game itself is something that has a loyal and very specific following, the film adaptation is looking to expand that audience and will be using stars like Colin Farrell to help get the job done. Nothing will be officially seen in terms of footage or promotional material until closer to the film’s December 2015 release date, but the first photo from the set of the movie has been revealed online.
Not much else is known about the film other than it’s going to be an adaptation of a game that really has no story to it. But the universe created in World of Warcraft is on the level of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones — with it being very likely that the produces mash together the latter two examples.
It won’t be an easy ride for Warcraft though, as the release of Star Wars Episode VII comes just a week after meaning we could see the film sooner than we expect.
