Many were surprised that the Carolina Panthers released veteran wide receiver Steve Smith, including Smith himself. The Baltimore Ravens were more than happy to sign Smith and bring him onboard, and it has afforded Smith the opportunity to play his former team.

According to Smith’s new teammate, fellow wide receiver Jacoby Jones, Smith has the game saved in his phone and is ready to take it to his former team.

“I just think that he got a chip on his shoulder. He’s ready to work, I can tell you that,” Jones said Thursday on NFL Network’s “NFL AM.”

“He hasn’t mentioned it, but I can just see it in his face,” Jones added. “I think he’s got it saved in his ‘notes’ in his phone; he’s been looking at it for weeks.”

And if your’re curious about whether Smith will help his new team with his former team’s offense, it looks like you can count on it. Smith sent some warnings to his former teammate running back DeAngelo Williams, though it was just in fun.

And sent some other warnings to former teammates.
