Mike Miller has never been much of a threat on the defensive end of the floor, but Thunder center Kendrick Perkins has found a way to keep him out of the play: by sitting on him.
Kendrick Perkins was not called for a foul which is weird considering players are constantly tagged with fouls when they dive on the opposition when fighting for a loose ball. A similar situation this is, but Perkins got away with an easy one. Luckily for Memphis, Thabo Sefalosha missed the three-point attempt as Mike Conley ran back to contest the shot in time.
With two halves done in Game 3 of Thunder-Grizzlies, Memphis currently has the lead, up 44-36. Kevin Durant leads the game with 12 points on nine shots while Tony Allen, the noted “Durant stopper” leads the Grizzlies with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
Neither Miller or Perkins have scored a point, attempting zero shots in the process. With Perkins have little impact on this game, him sitting on Mike Miller does more for his team just by not being in the set.
