In recent weeks we’ve seen minor league baseball teams announce they’ll be wearing jerseys inspired by Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters.

Hoping about that momentum train was a college baseball team who decided to wear uniforms completely made of fan submitted selfies. Now we can add another team to the list of squads wearing unique threads as the State College Spikes, a class-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals will be wearing ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ themed uniforms.

There’s obviously no connection between the popular 1990′s sitcom and the team, but it’s another impressive marketing gimmick.

I’m not sure I like it as much as the Fresno Grizzlies who’ll be wearing the aforementioned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles uniforms (they even have multiple versions for each turtle’s colors) but it’s still a really solid idea overall.

As mentioned above, Alfonso Ribierio, who played Will Smith’s cousin in the sitcom will be attending the game. As for Smith, unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as if he’ll be attending but that would have been one hell of a party if so.
