NBA Playoffs 2014: Tony Parker says he may be more aggressive offensively

If not for a late run paired with a collapse from the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1, the San Antonio Spurs could be down two games to the Western Conference’s eighth seed.

That hasn’t set well with the Spurs who were expected to run over the Mavericks with relative ease, but a resilient effort from Dallas has the two teams heading to Big D with the series tied at 1-1.

Looking for offense, San Antonio point guard Tony Parker says he’s the man who’ll be more aggressive offensively if needed with the backing of head coach Gregg Popovich.

Tony Parker: “Today, Pop told me if I have to shoot 25 times, I have to shoot 25 times.”

The French born point guard was somewhat bottled up during San Antonio’s Game 2 loss, only shooting ten times, down from his season average and considerably down from his Game 1 attempts.

Sounds as if Parker will be looking for his shot come Game 3 which should be quite the challenge for the normally defensive inept Jose Calderon.
