New Japanese Trailer for Godzilla Reveals New Footage (Video)

We are now just three weeks away from the release of the biggest, quite literally, film to hit theaters this May. On May 16th, the reboot of the epic Godzilla will come crashing onto the big screen, leaving all kinds of destruction in his wake. Late last week, we showed you a new TV Spot for the film that illustrated the delicate balance between nature and humanity. Now, we have a look at a new Japanese trailer for the film that seems to have snuck some new footage into it.

In the new Godzilla, the government would like you to believe that everything that has been happening lately is the result of a natural disaster like an earthquake. Unfortunately, once they come face to face with the monster himself, they will quickly realize that while it may have been a nature that brought humanity to its knees, it was certainly no earthquake.

Here is a look at the new Japanese trailer for the upcoming giant monster film Godzilla.

The new film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen as Lieutenant Ford Brody and his wife Elle. The duo can also be seen soon as the brother/sister duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Godzilla also stars Breaking Bad star Bryan CranstonJuliette BinocheKen WantanabeFifty Shades of Grey’s Victor RasukHawaii Five-O actor Richard T. Jones, and many more.

Godzilla is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and conventional theaters on May 16, 2014.
