Rays’ Evan Longoria shaves head to support Lightning

The headline of this article might be misleading, but Evan Longoria loves him some lightning. Tampa Bay Lightning.

Marc Topkins of the Tampa Bay Times says that the Rays’ franchise third baseman shaved a lightning bolt into the side of his head to support the local NHL team. The Lightning saw their Stanley Cup run end Tuesday after being swept, four games to none, to the Montreal Canadiens.

Longoria was sporting the new cut on Wednesday, and he says that it was a symbol to congratulate the Lightning on a good season, since it’s a day late to wish them any luck in the playoffs.
