WWE rumors: Brock Lesnar to face Daniel Bryan for world title at SummerSlam?

Brock Lesnar is fresh off of his huge win at WrestleMania XXX that ended the historic streak of The Undertaker, and it appears that the WWE could have even bigger plans in store for the former UFC heavyweight champion.

According to the recent buzz, when Lesnar returns from some time off there is discussion of a potential match up with Daniel Bryan for the WWE’s most coveted title.

From Wrestling Observer Newslettervia Middleton of Wrestling Inc:

Brock Lesnar is not booked for the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view and likely won’t be back until SummerSlam. There’s been speculation that he may challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

If the Lesnar vs. Bryan fight takes place at SummerSlam, it could be one of the bigger fights of the year.

But with the “Yes Movement” in full swing and so many fans behind Bryan, there would have to be some concern that he could have difficulty getting past Lesnar after everything the WWE has allowed him to do so far.

I think Lesnar has to win. I think he needs to be unbeatable until Wrestlemania, at which time a new star could be born. Roman Reigns, anyone?

    • Reigns.

roman is over rated…. nothing great about him…

I don’t want Brock to fight Daniel, much less win. Brock is part time and does not deserve it.

Lesnar was picked to end Taker’s streak. Clearly the WWE sees it differently. Furthermore it would be bad booking at this point not to have him win the title. Nothing else makes sense at this point. It doesn’t matter if you think Lesnar “deserves” it or not. He already ended the streak The next logical move is to have him win it all. And besides its not about someone “desrving” it. Its about creating new stars. Thats what having Lesnar win the title, than facing Reigns at Mania would do.
