Dolphins OC Bill Lazor plans to ‘stress the tempo of our offense, the play speed’

The Miami Dolphins have  anew offensive coordinator in Bill Lazor, and he has brought some excitement back to their offense. Head coach Joe Philbin has praised Lazor already and we haven’t even gotten to training camp.

From Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald:

Philbin, on new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor: “Bill has done an excellent job.…. We’re going to be stressing the tempo of our offense, the play speed.”

It isn’t even the coaching staff that is excited about the new offense, quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been pestering wide receiver Mike Wallace about the new offense because he is so excited.

Mike Wallace said Ryan Tannehill “has texted me eight, nine times” because he’s excited about Lazor’s offense. “Everybody is excited about the new offense.”

Tannehill and Wallace are committed to working on their deep ball to take advantage of Wallace’s skill set, there could be some big things headed to South Beach.
