Illinois Football: Illini QBs Wes Lunt, Reilly O'Toole sing Backstreet Boys during drills (Video)

The Illinois Fighting Illini have the potential to be one of the fastest rising programs in the Big Ten. This is due in large part to the fact that they have two very capable options at quarterback in Reilly O’Toole and Oklahoma State transfer Wes Lunt. But as we found out during the spring drills, these two are quite the singers in addition to their skills throwing the football around.

Both Lunt and O’Toole were recently mic’d up for practice, and you can clearly hear them having some fun with the old Backstreet Boys tune, “I Want it That Way,” and it was spectacular.

Now singing the Backstreet Boys while warming up on the field might very well be the definition of being cool, calm and collected on the field so maybe this is a good sign for head coach Tim Beckman and the rest of the coaching staff that his quarterbacks are so relaxed.

They had better be relaxed because, again, a lot is expected from this program, especially from Lunt if he should be the starter. Coming from Oklahoma State where he was one of the more highly touted recruits coming out of high school, a lot was expected out of him to begin with.

At least we know, though, that if it should blow up in their faces for whatever reason, they have some dynamite singing careers ahead of them.
