Rangers activate Adrian Beltre, add Kevin Kouzmanoff to DL

The Texas Rangers will get back veteran third baseman Adrian Beltre today after they activated him from the 15-day disabled list.

Beltre didn’t miss that much time after he suffered a strained left quad and he will be back in the starting lineup for the Rangers as they take on the Seattle Mariners. The Rangers are currently in first place in the American League West and will be looking to continue to pick up ground in the division.

Now with Beltre returning to the lineup, the Rangers have placed third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff on the 15-day disabled list. This is a move that’s retroactive to the move that was made on April 23. Kouzmanoff is currently dealing iwth a hernniated disc in his back and let’s face it, anyone who has had to deal with this type of pain knows how bad it feels.

The 32 year old hasn’t played in the Majors in the last two years but has a solid .362/.412/.617 batting line with two home runs, 10 RBI’s in 13 games.
