Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona Wildcats landed themselves their biggest recruit of the 2015 class–literally and figuratively–on Saturday as they received a verbal commitment from four-star rated offensive tackle Keenan Walker, who broke the news via his twitter account.
Right after the commitment, you could get the sense of just how big this really is for the program with a tweet from Arizona’s recruiting director, Matt Dudek.

Walker is listed at 6-6 and 280-pounds and has the mobility for someone his size to help in the fast-paced Rodriguez offense. He had also fielded offers from Oregon, Arizona State, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and a host of other schools, but ultimately decided that a trip to Tucson for a few years would be the right decision.
It’s showing a lot that Rodriguez is beginning to win some of these recruiting battles with some of the schools mentioned above, and this program could be near the top of the Pac-12 in no time.
