The Dallas Cowboys’ defensive line is one of their biggest needs. They slapped linebacker Anthony Spencer with the franchise tag before the 2013 season, and injuries kept him out for basically the entire season.

Spencer hit the free agent market and coming into the weekend hadn’t signed a contract despite the window being open for over a month. Well the Cowboys have helped solidify their defensive line bringing Spencer back on a one-year deal.

He joins different defensive line with the Cowboys having signed Henry Melton, Jeremy Mincey and Terrell McClain.

Spencer’s agent, Jordan Woy, said last month that Spencer would be very limited in OTAs, but should be ready to go by the preseason.
