The Washington Wizards will officially be without big man Nene on Sunday when Game 4 tips off as he’s been suspended for one game by the NBA following his head-butting incident involving Bulls forward Jimmy Butler.

It was expected that he was going to get some sort of punishment for the incident and the suspension is coming at the worst possible time for Washington. They let the Bulls back into the series on Friday night and the fact that they lost when Nene could have helped change that outcome is a bad omen for Sunday’s game.

Needless to say, Marcin Gortat realizes all of this and was none too pleased that his mate in the front court will be sitting out a crucial Game 4.

The Bulls may very well lose the game, as they nearly lost even without Nene in the game but not having him out there puts them ahead to begin with. Nene has had the Bulls’ number so far this series and with him gone, the chances this thing gets tied up 2-2 just greatly increased.
