Syracuse football recruiting: Orange land Jordan Fredericks, Gerald Robinson

As of Thursday morning, 3-star running back Tyrone Perkins was the Syracuse Orange’s lone commitment.

By Friday afternoon, they had tripled that number.

On Thursday, unranked running back  Jordan Fredericks gave his pledge to the Orange. Fredericks is a local prospect from Cedarhurst, New York and attends Lawrence High School. The 5’11, 195-pounder also had an offer from the Temple Owls, among others.

On Friday, it was 3-star cornerback Gerald Robinson who gave his pledge to the Orange.  He announced his decision via his twitter account.

The 5’10, 175-pounder is from Hialeah, Florida and attends Champagnat Catholic School.  The Orange often go into South Florida to chase leftover talent and have been happy with the results, so this was another nice get.

Robinson is ranked as the 108th-best cornerback prospect in the country, the 182nd-best overall prospect in the state of Florida and the 1,256th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

He had offers from the Central Florida Knights, Cincinnati Bearcats and Kentucky Wildcats, among others.
