The Los Angeles based branch of the NAACP, who was set to honor Clippers honor Donald Sterling with his second lifetime achievement work has pulled the plug on the honor, this according to the NAACP themselves.

Sterling of course is in hot water (more like boiling) after racist comments recently leaked courtesy of TMZ.

This of course isn’t the first time Sterling has found himself in trouble regarding race issues – in fact – the list is rather lengthy, despite his public admission that he’s not racist.

The NAACP was set to honor Sterling for his work with children as the Clippers owner always dedicates a specific number of seats to underprivileged children during every home game. However, given his current issues, there was no choice for the NAACP to pull the honor.

My biggest question is – how does one get two lifetime achievement awards? And how does somebody like Sterling, who has a lengthy history of questionable activity, be in such a position?!
