NBA Playoffs 2014: Al Jefferson to be game time decision against Miami Heat

The Charlotte Bobcats knew that when they were matched up against the Miami Heat, they’d have their hands full.

And despite three solid efforts, the Bobcats now sit one more loss away from elimination as they embark on Monday’s Game 4.

Making matters worse? They could be without star big man Al Jefferson who is currently dealing with a foot injury.

Monday’s game marks the first tilt that has only had one day off between games and the previous extra rest has allowed Jefferson enough time to heal. However, with just a day between contests it’s not known if Jefferson will be ready, making him a game time decision.

Steve Clifford said with one day between games, he won’t know until game time Monday about Al Jefferson’s availability.

Down 3-0, it’s within reason to believe the Bobcats may opt to play it safe with Jefferson and not play him given it’s possible he could risk further/deeper tears into his fascia. Either way, we know he certainly won’t be 100 percent if he does take the court.
