Nobody will ever accuse Memphis Grizzlies swingman Tony Allen of taking a defensive play off as the former Oklahoma State product is one of the most tenacious defenders in the NBA.
But that doesn’t mean Allen, who had fallen down on a play, wouldn’t milk an injury to cherry pick a dunk.
That’s exactly what took place during Game 4 of the first round playoff series between Allen’s Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After the Thunder had secured a rebound, Allen went down to the floor nursing what looked to be a leg injury. But just as quickly as the Thunder crossed half court, the Grizzlies had secured possession of the ball yet again and there stood Allen, completely alone on the other side of the court.
Looking as spry as ever, Allen not only took the pass in for a basket, he motored to the rim and flushed it home with a slam dunk.
Cameras caught Allen sticking his tongue out after the dunk, seemingly enjoying his moment of miraculous healing.
