The New York Yankees will be looking to take the three game series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim after picking up a 4-3 victory over the halos to improve to 14-10 on the season.

Now the Yankees made a couple roster moves yesterday regarding a couple pitchers and made a couple more today. The Bronx Bombers placed right-handed pitcher Bruce Billings on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain.

Billings allowed four runs in as many relief appearances. Right now there’s no timetable for his return, but we should know something a couple days before his stint on the disabled list is up.

With Billings heading to the disabled list, the Yankees have recalled right-hander Preston Claiborne from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Claiborne has allowed only one earned run over four innings of work with the Triple-A affiliate. Claiborne will be available out of the bullpen for the Yankees during tonight’s game against the Angels.

First pitch for the three game series finale is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. eastern.
