The Buffalo Bills have a top 10 draft pick and will get a great player at that pick. Bills general manager Doug Whaley wouldn’t rule out trading up in the draft in May however.

“Never say never,” Whaley said, via the team’s website. “Not a problem as long as it’s not detrimental to our team down the road. It’s going to be a calculated risk, but if we think this guy is going to get us over the hump and get us into the playoffs, which is our stated goal , then why not make the deal?”

Whaley said surrounding quarterback EJ Manuel with as many weapons as possible, so they could look to trade up for an offensive skills poisition player.

“It’s a quarterback-driven league, so we’re going to” look at “every avenue and every piece of the puzzle to surround EJ and make him as successful as possible,” Whaley said. “What we did this offseason affords us the opportunity to go any way and every way in this draft. Our main focus is making sure EJ progresses.”
