NHL Playoffs 2014: Ducks' Nick Bonino scores game-winning goal against Stars in overtime (GIF)

With their backs against the wall, trailing their first round playoff series against the Anaheim Ducks 3-2, the Dallas Stars came out firing, scoring three goals in the opening period.

After Ben Lovejoy’s goal in the second cut the lead to 3-2, the Stars responded later in the period on a goal from Trevor Daley to push the advantage back to two.

The Ducks pulled goalie Frederik Andersen, who gave up all four goals, in favor of Jonas Hiller.

The Stars still had a 4-2 lead in the final minutes of the game when the Ducks removed Hiller to gain the man advantage. With just 2:10 left in the game, Nick Bonino found the back of the net to cut the Stars’ lead to just one. Less than two minutes later, the Ducks scored again. This time it was Devante Smith-Pelly beating Stars’ goalie Kari Lehtonen for the goal with 24 seconds left in regulation.

Less than three minutes into overtime, Bonino found the back of the net again, winning the game and the series for the Ducks.
