On Sunday, the UCLA Bruins earned a commitment from 4-star wide receiver L.J. Reed.
“I picked UCLA because I know they are really good academically and I had a lot of fun at the Spring game,” Reed told Justin Hopkins of 24/7 Sports. “It was fun hanging out with the coaches before the game and it felt like I was already a part of the team. I know they are going to take care of me.”
The 6’3, 200-pound Reed is from Elk Grove, California and attends Cosumnes Oaks High School.
Reed becomes the seventh prospect to give his verbal commitment to the Bruins in the class of 2015. The Bruins’ most notable commitment is, of course, 5-star quarterback Josh Rosen.
Reed is ranked as the 29th-best wide receiver prospect in the country, the 32nd-best overall prospect in the state of California and the 234th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
He chose the Bruins over offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Idaho Vandals and Washington Huskies, among others.
