Bradley Roby nearly ran over a group of kids according to 911 caller

Things are not exactly good for talented draft prospect Bradley Roby right now. But he is actually lucky they are not a whole lot worse.

Roby’s draft stock is in limbo after his citation for driving under the influence. Roby has vehemently defended himself since the story emerged, even going on Twitter to present evidence that showed he was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.

But how will Roby explain away the latest piece of information to come out about the night in question?

Per Columbus TV station WBNS-10TV (via PFT), a 911 caller told police that an intoxicated Roby nearly wiped out a group of kids.

“Hi, I’m just leaving BBR on Vine and some black Dodge Charger just almost hit a bunch of kids on the sidewalk,” the caller says on the tape. “And now, the driver is passed out drunk on the side of BBR in black Charger with Georgia plates.”

The 911 call will likely have no bearing on Roby’s legal case, as the charges against him are expected to be dropped.

But Roby’s problem isn’t the law right now, it’s the NFL. Teams already had a bunch of reasons not to draft Bradley Roby.

Now they have another one. He nearly ran over some kids while obviously not in full control of himself.

Bradley Roby’s draft stock could be in for an even bigger plunge than we first expected. Why can’t these guys just keep it buttoned down until after they sign the contract?

I’ll never get it.
