Former Clemson Tigers’ QB Chad Kelly signs with East Mississippi Community College

Just two weeks ago, the Clemson Tigers kicked quarterback Chad Kelly off of the team.

On April 12, during Clemson’s spring game, Kelly could be seen arguing with the Tigers’ coaching staff and was benched for the rest of the scrimmage.

He then ran into trouble involving the police and Tigers’ head coach Dabo Swinney felt he had no other choice.

“I have dismissed Chad Kelly for conduct detrimental to our program,” said Swinney. “He has had a pattern of behavior that is not consistent with the values of our program. I hope he will mature and grow from this and become the man and player I know he can be. I wish him nothing but the best in the future academically and athletically.”

Kelly has now found a new home, signing a National Letter of Intent with East Mississippi Community College.

Kelly completed 10 of 17 passes for 58 yards last season.
