It has been a rough stretch of time for former Louisville forward Chane Behanan, and after his high-profile decision to transfer to Colorado State for his remaining eligibility, he will not play a single game for the Rams, as he has officially declared for the 2014 NBA Draft.
CSU releases a statement from Chane Behanan, confirming he has declared for the NBA Draft.

The latest in the long line of issues for Behanan came approximately four weeks ago with a marijuana citation, but prior to that, he was dismissed from Louisville after repeated incidents and even reportedly checked into a rehab facility to fight his problems. Unfortunately for the 21-year-old power forward, his NBA prospects aren’t terribly high at this stage, and this smells like a decision simply to stop attending school rather than a calculated decision based on his draft stock.
The 6-foot-7 Behanan has been a tremendous college player when on the floor, but he is currently listed as just the #90 player for ESPN’s Chad Ford, and as the #48 player in the junior class (yikes) by Draft Express. In all actuality, there is a very real chance that he could go undrafted, and that would be an unfortunate end to a painful saga.
