Today has certainly been a good day for Godzilla fans. This morning, we showed you a new image from the film that offers a close up look at the King of Monsters himself. Then, later on we showed you a featurette that explored the sets from the film and shared commentary from the cast of the film. Now, thanks to the people over at Legendary Pictures, we now have a look at a new featurette that discusses the monster’s classic roar.
As I said before, director Gareth Edwards is adamant about making this film seem as real as possible. He wants the audience to really consider what it would be like if a monster like Godzilla just rose out of the water and began to lay waste to the city.
In the new featurette, people responsible for making this film happen like sound designer Erik Aadahl, director Gareth Edwards, and actor Bryan Cranston explore the monster’s classic roar.
The filmmakers really want to pay tribute to the classic roar that has become so synonymous with Godzilla. Edwards says that they did about 50 different versions of the roar until they found the one that was just right.
Take a look for yourself. Here is a look at the latest featurette for the upcoming film Godzilla.
Godzilla also stars Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, Juliette Binoche, Ken Wantanabe, Fifty Shades of Grey’s Victor Rasuk, Hawaii Five-O actor Richard T. Jones, and many more.
Godzilla is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and conventional theaters on May 16, 2014.
