UFC fighter rankings: Anthony Johnson shoots to No. 5 in light heavyweight division


After two years outside of the octagon, Anthony Johnson was able to make a big splash in the updated UFC fighter rankings following his big win over Phil Davis in the co-main event of UFC 172 this past weekend.

Johnson was able to avoid Davis’ takedown attempts and pick him apart on the feet, which has landed him in the No. 5 position in the latest rankings that were released on Monday.

Davis dropped three spots to No. 7, while former champion Rashad Evans leapfrogged Glover Teixeira, who lost to Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 172, for the No. 2 contender spot.
