Clippers website reads: We Are One

The Los Angeles Clippers official website wasted no time making a statement short after NBA commissioner Adam Silver handed down a lifetime ban and $2.5 million fine to team owner Donald Sterling for his racist comments that surfaced over the weekend.

The Clippers website now reads, “We Are One,” as a sign of solidarity as they prepare to move past the troubling comments from their owner who will now likely be forced to sell the team.

It is a great message from the Clippers and one that NBA fans around the league will be sharing.

It would be great to see the Clippers hand out the shirts during their remaining games in the NBA Playoffs to the fans filling the stands and even seeing the team wear the message on their shirts as they warm up for the games.

Bravo to everyone that has been involved in the NBA’s decision to act so swiftly and hand down a proper punishment.
