Daniel Cormier wants to fight for the title after Dan Henderson

UFC Heavyweight turned Light Heavyweight, Daniel Cormier desperately wants a crack at UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

Cormier knows that although he is undefeated in his MMA career, he has to wait in line for his shot at Jones. UFC officials announced that Alexander Gustafsson will be the next in line to fight Jones for the title, which means Cormier needed another fight.

Cormier was booked opposite Dan Henderson, who is coming off a spectacular KO over Shogun Rua just a month ago, at UFC 173 in a #1 contender’s bout.

With the promise of a title shot looming with just one more victory, Cormier has made it clear that he has no intentions on fighting another non-title bout if he defeats Henderson next month.

He also gave his pick for who he thinks will win the Jones vs Gustafsson rematch, and who he would rather fight:

If Gustafsson was able to defeat Jones in the rematch, there is almost no chance that the UFC would not book the immediate trilogy fight. In that case, Cormier said it would ‘change things’:
