One of the problems with unbalanced scheduling is that sometimes, teams make only one trip to a destination. That can result in some unexpected double headers if a particular game is rained out.
That is the case in Minnesota as inclement weather is forcing the Dodgers and Twins inter-league game to be postponed. Because the Dodgers won’t make another trip to Target Field, the three game series will conclude Thursday night on what was supposed to be a getaway day for Los Angeles.
Zack Greinke was scheduled to take on Kyle Gibson, but now they will likely start Wednesday’s game and other starters will be pushed back to Thursday. The first game on Thursday will take place at 1:10 EST with the second game starting at 7:10 EST.
