The NBA playoffs are a lot less flashy this year and that has everything to do with the absence of one man. Craig Sager is usually TNT’s go-to courtside analyst but his bout with acute leukemia has forced him to forfeit his duties for the time being.

His absence at TNT is notable and his colleagues there are not at all forgetting about him. Even amid this disgusting Donald Sterling scandal, the TNT crew is turning to Sager to not only cheer everyone up with word on his progress but also to show that no matter how big a story is developing in basketball, Sager is not forgotten.

Ernie Johnson has long been one of the best studio hosts in sports television and if he hasn’t yet won you over in that regard, he’ll win you over with how awesome a guy he is. From kicking off the rally cry that Donald Sterling has no place in the NBA to just chilling with his buddy and colleague while he fights the battle of his life, Johnson has won over a lot of hearts and in the process as proven that no one at TNT has stopped thinking about Craig Sager.
