UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones is fresh off his scintillating title defense over Glover Teixeira this past Saturday night at UFC 172. Prior to the bout, two notable fighters were giving Jones a ton of flak regarding a multitude of different aspects of his fight game.
Fellow UFC 172 competitor Phil Davis talked trash to Jon all week prior to the UFC 172 event. Some were made to believe that it was Davis, and not Teixeira, that would be fighting Jones for the title this past Saturday night.
Davis has been lambasting Jones for quite a while in hopes of building hype towards a potential matchup. Of course, Davis’ title run came to a crashing halt once Anthony Johnson walloped him for three rounds en route to a unanimous decision victory.
Yesterday, Jones decided to poke some fun at Davis, and he did not even have to say one word to do so:
Davis was not the only fighter to call out Jones, as legendary UFC Hall of Famer, Chuck Liddell spoke about fighting Jones earlier in the week. Liddell, who is a teammate of Teixeira, got under Jones’ skin with his comments.
After his impressive victory on Saturday night, this is how Jones retaliated:
Along with the picture of the forlorn Liddell was this message from Jones:
Talking all that trash before the fight.. you mad bro?
