NBA commissioner Adam Silver has dropped the hammer on Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in the wake of his allegedly racist remarks, which Silver said he had confirmed it was Sterling’s voice. He announced that Sterling had been banned for life as well as fined $2.5 million, which would be donated to a charity to fight racism. Silver can’t force a sale, but will encourage the board of governor’s to force a sale.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has voiced his support on Twitter immediately following the announcement.
I agree 100% with Commissioner Silvers findings and the actions taken against Donald Sterling

Magic Johnson, who was specifically mentioned in the recordings, also supported the decision.
Commissioner Silver showed great leadership in banning LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life.
