Wrigley Field turned 100 this season and the celebration lasts all year long.
Although the Cubs lost their game against the Diamondbacks on the actual birthday of Wrigley Field on April 23rd, they are wearing a series of uniforms throughout the year to commemorate all of the teams that played in the space beforehand. On Wednesday, they wore the uniforms of the Chicago Federals.
On August 24th, the Baltimore Orioles will be in town, and it will be the last throwback uniform honoring the history of the Cubs. Chicago will wear 1994 uniforms and Baltimore will follow suit. 1994 was the season shortened by the strike and the Cubs were in last place when the season ended.
