Jaromir Jagr is returning to the New Jersey Devils. At least, that’s what the man himself told the media after a practice with the Czech Republic national team.
Jagr, 42, was on a one-year, $4.55 million contract with the Devils this past season. His 67 points, which led the team in scoring, proved him to be one of the best signings of the offseason. He also played in every game this season, which is even more impressive given his age, and the fact that he represented his country at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The fact that he was only on a one-year deal means that Jagr, apparently, already has a new deal worked out with the team.
