The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here as the official cast of Star wars Episode VII has been revealed. While there were some names in the cast that we expected to see return and some that are completely new, the full cast list certainly leaves a lot of options open for the story and gives fans something to chew on while filming begins in London.
According to The Wrap, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill will all be returning as Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker and they will be joined by a largely brand new cast of characters.
Some of the more interesting names added to the cast include Andy Serkis, who became famous for playing the role of Gollum in Lord of the Rings, as well as Max von Sydow who has been starring in classic films since the 50s and has worked with directors ranging from Ingmar Bergman to Martin Scorsese.

At long last, Disney, Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams have unveiled the cast of “Star Wars: Episode VII.” Original stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker will be joined by Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.
