Eminem starting a rap battle league

Well it looks like there is another music based reality TV show headed your way, though this one centers around rap music and not singing. Famed battle rapper Eminem, who chronicled his life and battle rapping in the semi-autobiographical movie 8 Mile, is putting on a battle rap based show.

Thought it won’t be televised, show will be “aired” starting July 12th online at hip-hop website WatchLOUD. The show is called “Total Slaughter” and the first event to be held at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in July.

The one down side is that Eminem won’t be competing according to his agent Pete Rosenberg, but artists like artists like Joe Budden, Hollow Da Don, Murda Mook and Loaded Lux will.

“I don’t think at this point it would make any sense,” Rosenberg said, via Music Vita. “They know everything about him. Everything. So, he’s kind of an easy target. Plus, lets be honest, you gotta be in shape for this. This isn’t something that you just go do on a whim. You gotta be in shape, your brain’s gotta be ready for it, you gotta be in that mode. And Marshall hasn’t done stuff like that for a really long time.”
