The Florida Gators added their seventh commitment for the class of 2015 when they received a pledge from 3-star cornerback Jalen Julius on Wednesday.
“I had a good vibe there [at UF]. The players get along really well and they treated me well and coaches treated me well, too, … my mom and my whole family had a nice vibe with Florida.”
Julius is considered an athlete because he can play both wide receiver and defensive back but the Gators have told him he will begin his college career on defense.
The 5’10.5, 170-pounder recently transferred to West Orange High School in Orlando, Florida.
Julius is ranked as the 38th-best cornerback prospect in the country, the 61st-best overall prospect in the state of Florida and the 469th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Julius also holds offers from the Auburn Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Ole Miss Rebels and Tennessee Volunteers, among others.
