Mariners at Yankees postponed due to rain

The Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees were set to battle it out Wednesday night. Unfortunately this has been postponed due to rain on the east coast.

The game has been rescheduled for June 2nd at 7:05pm, which will occur smack in the middle of a two three-game series against the Athletics and Twins.

David Phelps was intended to replace the injured Michael Pineda in the rotation. Due to the rain out, the Yankees will likely skip his start and proceed with Hiroki Kuroda pitching, as previously scheduled, come Thursday.

Tickets to tonights game will still be valid come June. If unable to make the June date, tickets can also be exchanged for any regular season game within 12 months of today’s date. Complimentary tickets must attend the June date or forfeit going to a game altogether.

Hopefully the rain that is currently drenching the New York area subsides in time for tomorrow nights game.
