Matt Adams launches a three-run shot (Video)

The St. Louis Cardinals took on the NL Central leaders in their series with the Milwaukee Brewers this week. Looking to make a statement about the class of the division, the Cardinals instead dropped the first two games of the series. Left to try and avoid the sweep, St. Louis finally had their bats come to life in the series finale Wednesday.

The Cardinals cruised to a 9-3 victory thanks to a huge game from Allen Craig and this monstrous shot from Matt Adams off Brewers starter Matt Garza.

Garza eventually was forced to leave this game with a thumb injury. It is safe to say that this was not his day.

As for the Cardinals, they are still a team searching for answers but they got a much-needed win  on Wednesday afternoon.
