The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans and they’re considering taking him if he slips to them at No. 15 in the first round.
“Believe me, if Mike Evans is available, they will draft him,” writes Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “But they do not expect him to be there at 15.”
Evans has been pegged as a top 10 pick, so him slipping out would be shocking. The Steelers would have to move up considerably to get Evans and it might become to expensive to be feasible. If Evans comes off the board, the Steelers might look at FSU’s Kelvin Benjamin.
“A very good chance. I will tell you that one of the Steelers people think he is the second best receiver in the draft, after Sammy Watkins,” Dulac writes.
