Oprah Winfrey, David Geffen and Larry Ellison disccusing a bid for the Clippers

After NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life as a result of racist comments he was allegedly recorded making, Silver said he’d try to force Sterling to sell. Since than many notable wealthy celebrities expressed an interest in buying the team like rappers Diddy and Dr. Dre, as well as boxers Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya.

One of the names making the rounds is television mogul Oprah Winfrey, who is reportedly teaming up with multimedia mogul David Geffen and Larry Ellison, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Oracle Corporation.

Of course Sterling hasn’t been forced to sell the team yet, and has no plans to sell the team at this moment.
