Chapman throws 101 miles per hour

Aroldis Chapman made his first start in a minor league game clocking his fastest speed at 101 miles per hour.

This combined with Chapman’s enthusiasm and assurance that he feels great proves he will be ready to start with the Cincinnati Reds very soon.

“I felt like I have always been, the way I felt before the accident. There is no fear, no hesitation with me.”

Chapman was originally injured last March when he was hit in the hit with a line ball when playing against the Kansas City Royals. Has the incident frightened him of any future related instances:

“I don’t think about that at all. The only time I remember is when you guys ask me.”

No PTSD here… a good sign showing he has what it takes to get back on the mound.
